im getting crazy listening to this song over and over.
i just can’t help it. the melody’s so sweet, it breaks my heart. and the lyrics, goodness! makes me wanna cry… ok. so this song is making me like… wistful.

one of the OST of the korean series “you’re beautiful”, the song has two versions. one sung by go minam (on ep.7, i believed) and the other by taekyung hyung-nim. but i like tk more. haha. biased.

today, i woke up from a dream filled of you.
i must have missed you that bad.

i really can’t remember all the details of that dream, but i know it was a good dream, enough to put a big smile on my face the moment i woke up.

it was like waking up as a fairy tale princess kissed by her handsome prince.

i was on my wit’s end at that time and i need some break from work. so i decided to read some manga to relax and found this:

one of my favorite poems by paul eluard. i first heard (yep, heard. not read) this poem on an anime series the daughter of twenty faces.

valentines day is just around the corner.
few weeks from now and we will be flooded with all shades of red, hearts and winged babies on diapers carrying those deadly arrows; it is the time where demands for expensive roses, cheesy love cards and fancy restaurant reservations reach its peak; and one of the seasons where guys and girls spend lots of their time prettying themselves in front of the mirror.

when i was still in elementary, i used to look forward to celebrating valentines day. for me (at that time), valentines means chocolates, teddy bears and flowers. in my young naive heart, valentines is a special day to meet your prince charming in shining armor that will carry you off to sunset on his white steed.

but as time goes on, my perspective of valentines changed. it is not that special like it used to be.

as i grew older, enough to understand the run of economics, i realized that valentines is nothing but mostly consumerism. people slip into a trance to ritual consumerism, subconsciously forced to shed their hard earned money to buy valentine gifts whenever february 14 comes to date. when you really think about it, valentines day is just another chance for candy companies and card companies to sneak some money out of our wallets. but then, at least it helps stimulates the economy.

valentines day is a good chance though to ask your girl/boy crush out on a date or a nice day for proposing to your partners (it is easier to remember since it is a world-known special day). for girls, it is their day to collect flowers, chocolates, cards and perfume not only from their admirers but also from their boy friends.

all in all, valentines has its ups and downs. it may be a folly for other people but it also has its purposes.

as i have observed, people nowadays are now quite aware with the environmental issues. we should be.

for millions of years, earth is the only planet in the solar system that is habitable for humans. as the civilization develops, resources of this planet were also abused and polluted. as a result, the earth’s lifespan is getting shorter and shorter with each passing years.

because of this, some organizations (like Greenpeace) were founded and some laws (like swppp) were made to protect our planet from destruction. they are trying to help reverse the earth’s aging so that our children and their children will still have a planet to stay in the future.
